A drunk Driver drove onto the high school campus hitting benches and destroying two lights poles Monday morning at 4:50 a.m. according to Chief Daniel Mcilraith with the Sedro-Woolley Police Department.

The destruction from a drunk driver was a big shock for students and staff getting to school on the morning of September 19, 2022.  The car went behind Sedro-Woolley High School near our staff parking.

Chris Spencer, assistant principal at Sedro-Woolley High School, said “I’m just thankful no one was hurt.”

This collision was unfortunate for not only the school but for anyone who could have been there at the time.

Spencer hopes that the damage will be covered by the man’s insurance.

Funds and affording necessities such as benches, light’s like the ones that were destroyed, anything we may need or even upgrades needed, is already an issue in a tight budget year.
