Buff Puff/Powder Puff
Powder Puff:
The senior girls fought hard to the finish, winning Powder Puff (14-7) after trailing behind the juniors on Monday, October 1.
Several impressions were made by seniors Hollie Davis, who played as running back, Gina Munoz, who also played as running back, and Abi Hannan, who was the seniors quarterback.
The juniors also made some impactful plays including Natalya Schwetz, who scored the juniors a touchdown, Hannah Forst, who played as the juniors quarterback and played on defense, and Liliana Tapia, who played as running back.
Davis persevered through the whole game with outstanding plays ending her night. While rushing the ball Davis took a fall and a bad land resulted in a broken collarbone.
Both seniors and juniors did an amazing job pushing themselves to try and get their team the win for this popular Homecoming event.
Buff Puff:
The seniors took the win at Buff Puff this week on Monday, October 1. The juniors were ahead in both sets, but the seniors found their groove, and redeemed themselves with a final score of (26-24).
Many massive plays were made by seniors Eli DeJong, who played outside/middle, Carter Trammell, who set throughout the whole game, and Cole Helgeson, who served several aces.
The seniors were not the only ones who made impactful plays. Juniors Brent VanderVeen, Sebastian Hanna, and Isaiah Guerero all earned their team several points with shocking plays. The coaches from both teams were very proud of the effort that players put into the game, and were pleased with how close the score was.
