SWHS Logger Rodeo Team Brings Home A Win…Again

The 2018-2019 SWHS Logger Rodeo team celebrates yet another first place victory. Naturally the team grabbed a bite to eat after their hard work. Courtesy of Dylan Carpenter.

Continuing the 19-year tradition, the Sedro-Woolley High School logger rodeo team placed first in their state competition. The FFA group, coached by Wayne Ramsey, secured their first place title with a 269 point lead on Jan. 26. Some of the traditional events of Logger Rodeo include: single bucking, match split, axe through, pole climb, log chop, and both large and small chainsaw. “The Cub” would like to recognize these specific SWHS competitors for their outstanding victory:

Individual Males:
First: Hunter Perry
Second: Kaleb Ferris
Fourth: Andrew Lohman

Individual Females:
First: Dallas Fedenc
Second: Dylan Carpenter
