Crumbl Cookie just opened their new location in Burlington, WA. Crumbl Cookies produce a new unique batch of flavors every week, as well as offering their original milk chocolate chip cookies year-round

. Crumbl Cookie enjoyers love trying the new flavors they present, the opening of the new Crumbl Cookie has got Skagit County buzzing. 

   Although, not all customers enjoyed their experience at this bakery. There is a controversy over the brand.

    According to NBC News, a federal investigation found that nearly a dozen of the company’s franchise locations violate child labor law regulations, including ones in Washington. These violations consist of young workers carrying out jobs they legally aren’t old enough to conduct, such as managing dangerous machinery and working longer shifts than the law prohibits them from doing. 

   Although the news of this lawsuit is important, it hasn’t slowed business down.  

   “I think the concept of new flavors every week draws people back, they don’t want to miss out on the new flavors everyone is talking about,” says Bell Fitzpatrick.

   “All over social media I see people posting them trying and giving a review on the cookies they are trying, I think this is a good marketing tactic.” Bell explains. Crumbl Cookie keeps up its social media presence by creating eye-catching content for their 3.03 million followers on Instagram, 1.59 million followers on Facebook, and over 650,000 Twitter followers.

      “Personally, I enjoyed their cookies, but I can see where other people might not enjoy them. They are definitely accustomed to people with more of a sweet tooth,” Bell states.
