Students from all over gather at Western Washington University to perform.

Several Sedro-Woolley High School students got the chance to take their passion for music to the next level on the Campus of Western Washington University.

On Monday Nov. 12, several members of the SWHS band, choir, and orchestra attended the day long WWU Honor Festival.

“Being there was such a great experience, said senior and choir member Austin Campbell. “I learned a lot about myself and made a lot of new friends.”

To end the night family and friends gathered in the WWU Performing Arts Center to watch as each ensemble performed several songs.

Senior band member Nicole Bohme said, “My favorite part was probably being able to sit in my section with other talented musicians and make music that was at a higher level than I’m used to.”

The passion that flowed through the theater was incredible as over 100 young musicians from all over the state played their newly learned material as if they had been practicing it for years.
