On February 16th four of our seniors participated in the annual Washington Music Educators Association ( WMEA) All-State Vocal Concert in Yakima. All-State gives High School students all over the state of Washington the opportunity to sing with other advanced singers and be directed by well-known conductors.
Seniors Zoe Slabodnik, Alain Garcia, Jazmine Brigham, and Serina Wilson auditioned back in November to be part of this state-wide Choir and found they were accepted early December. Jazmine was one of 150 girls in the All-State Treble Choir, while the others were a small part of the 300 people in the Symphonic Choir. These students left early Friday February 14th, heading to their weekend-long preparation for the concert.
