“Magic: The Gathering” is only one of the card games that Competitive Card Gaming Club offers for it’s members. The club is looking to recruit new members as well as new games.

Sedro-Woolley High School’s Competitive Card Gaming Club has been around for a couple years now, but many people have not known about it until recently.
Members want to change that by making the club more inclusive to all games. In order to do this, the club is doing a little more advertising and official events, like the Throne of Eldraine sealed event, which stems from the popular fantasy game, “Magic: The Gathering.”
They are also welcoming new games such as Yu-gi-oh, and the Pokemon trading card game. If there is a different card game that people want to try, they are also open to that.
“I feel our club is important because it gives exposure to a game culture that is typically under people’s social awareness,” said advisor Poul Brask.
Students have expressed that this club is an amazing way to get immersed in new games or hobbies. “I want people to know that we have groups for players who want to have fun and those who want to play for glory,” said club member Ayden Waldrip.
The club meets in room A127 on Mondays after school until 4 p.m. Players from all types of games are welcome and can bring new ideas to the club.
