The Impact Sedro-Woolley Starbucks has on the Town

As the world of big business continues to expand, it has finally reached our small town. The first Starbucks opened in Seattle on March 30, 1971; 50 years later, on February 10, 2023, the Starbucks in Sedro- Woolley opened. But even with the stigma around it, people are still willing to go.
“I think the public was skeptical about a new big corporation business,” sophomore Abby Gardner said. “But the longer it’s here, the more people are opening up.”
And as the amount of corporations continues to grow, we have to ask ourselves is it worth the struggle over whether or not to go to small businesses, and the new Starbucks is proving that.
“Business has been more than projected with the opening, and a steady flow of regulars have started to build,” Gardner said. “Business is good, a good stream of customers daily, but we are always looking to improve that”
And improving that is exactly what they are doing, as the amount of cars and people continue to grow as the time goes on.
