Kylin Chance, a sophomore and Erin Pierce, a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School, qualified for State on May 23rd at Liberty Lake.
Pierce was able to place top 15 to compete on the second day!
State golf tournament was a competitive game for Pierce on the second day. But sadly did not qualify for day 3.
Even though Pierce struggled at the beginning of the year she was one of two to make it to State.
“My season went good! With a rough start like always I ended with the scores I’ve always wanted shooting in the 80’s,” Pierce said about her season.
It wasn’t only Pierce doing well, but so was the whole team.
Pierce said this about the SWHS golf team, “Our team improved on our performance and attitude towards the game and tournaments. With having better attitudes we were placing at tournaments and only 10 shots away from 1st at many tournaments.”
Overall the golf tournament and state went well for the SWHS girls golf team.
